PWAtoApp vs Despia: Compare Cost, Builds and App Store Preparation
November 7, 2026 · 6 min read
PWAtoApp and Despia both help web-app owners reach Android and iOS, but they sell different scopes. PWAtoApp offers unlimited Android APK/AAB and iOS IPA builds for €49.99 once, with signing included, from a prepared mobile source ZIP. Despia advertises a $249 one-time Solo Pack for one app on either iOS or Android, alongside native-feature and publishing tooling. Choose PWAtoApp when you need build access and can prepare the source and signing inputs. Consider Despia when its documented native integrations and release workflow are worth the extra product scope. Neither option guarantees store approval.

Who should compare PWAtoApp with Despia?
This comparison is for Lovable and other web-app owners who already have a working product and are choosing a mobile delivery path. The useful question is not just “Which sticker price is lower?” It is “Who prepares the mobile project, which integrations do I need, and what will future releases cost?”
Despia pricing versus the PWAtoApp package
| Decision | PWAtoApp | Despia |
|---|---|---|
| Published entry offer | €49.99 one-time build package | $249 one-time Solo Pack |
| Platform scope | Android and iOS builds | One app on either iOS or Android in Solo |
| Releases | Unlimited builds; one active submission at a time | Site advertises lifetime updates; check build allowances and overage terms |
| What to bring | Prepared source ZIP and platform signing inputs | Check Despia’s project setup and chosen plan requirements |
| Main buying question | Do I need compilation and signing access? | Do I need the native-feature and publishing platform? |
The official Despia site advertises Solo at $249 for one platform. Its terms describe licensing per app and operating system and possible overage charges. Do not treat Solo as a both-platform quote, or interpret “lifetime updates” as unlimited use of every service. Confirm the current two-platform bundle, build allowance and extra services at checkout.
PWAtoApp’s €49.99 package includes both platforms without a separate signing charge. That is a lower advertised entry amount, but euros and dollars are not interchangeable. We do not claim an exact “5×” or “10×” saving, nor that the packages deliver identical services.
Compare native features before comparing checkout totals
Despia presents a broader web-to-native platform and native-feature integrations. If your product depends on a particular device capability, review the Despia Lovable offering and confirm that the integration is available in your intended plan. An advertised capability still requires implementation and testing in your app.
PWAtoApp focuses on creating app builds from compatible source. Its dashboard’s iOS push and Firebase configuration inputs are not a promise that notifications already work in your project. Permission requests, service setup and application code remain necessary. Do not buy a build package assuming that every competitor integration is included.
How the PWAtoApp build workflow actually works
PWAtoApp costs €49.99 once for unlimited Android and iOS builds, with release signing included. This is build-dashboard access, not an agency redesign or a promise of app-store acceptance. Personal Google Play support is an optional extra; Apple signing files and developer accounts are not included.
- Prepare a compatible mobile source project and its ZIP. A website URL or an unchanged web export is not automatically buildable mobile source.
- In the dashboard, choose Android or iOS. For Android, choose APK for device installation or AAB for Google Play. Each submission creates only the selected output.
- Configure Android signing with an existing keystore or the create-keystore option. For iOS, provide your Apple Distribution .p12, its password and a matching provisioning profile; an available Mac worker is required.
- Submit one build, follow progress and open live logs if needed. Wait for that build to finish before submitting another, then test the output before publishing.
Before buying, check your project against the mobile source and readiness checklist. Build access does not include preparing every incompatible project for you.
A practical example: launching a Lovable membership app
1. List the must-have mobile workflows
For a membership app, start with login, account recovery, member content and external payment links. If device features are optional, build access may be sufficient. If the release depends on a specific native integration, verify that integration first rather than choosing solely on price.
2. Compare the same release scope
Ask Despia for the current quote for one app on both platforms. Compare it with PWAtoApp’s both-platform package, then separately list source-preparation work, store accounts, hosting and any support. Keep currencies explicit and use a current exchange rate only in your own budget.
3. Check update and ownership requirements
Keep your application identifier, signing credentials and developer accounts under your control. Check each provider’s release allowances and what happens if you stop using it. A web content update is not necessarily a substitute for a native binary update.
What neither tool removes from your launch checklist
Your website and backend still need reliable hosting. Packaging does not turn server code into code that runs on a phone, repair broken login flows or rewrite web screens as fully native interfaces. Test the installed app’s sign-in, navigation, file handling and permissions on real devices.
Developer accounts, privacy disclosures, store listings and review remain separate responsibilities. Apple’s minimum-functionality guideline 4.2 matters for web-based apps; no converter can guarantee approval. Consult Google Play’s testing requirements for new personal accounts rather than assuming an AAB is immediately eligible for production.
Our Android and iOS launch plan explains the work after compilation. Use the PWA versus native app guide to decide whether packaging fits your product at all.
Which should you choose?
- Choose PWAtoApp if you have compatible source, can supply signing inputs and mainly need repeat Android and iOS builds at a one-time package price.
- Consider Despia if its native integrations and publishing tooling match requirements you would otherwise have to implement yourself.
- Pause either purchase if you cannot yet explain how the mobile project is prepared or who owns the release credentials.
Does Despia’s $249 Solo Pack cover both platforms?
The official offer checked for this article describes either iOS or Android. Obtain the current both-platform quote directly from Despia; do not assume Solo covers both. For another paid-platform model, read PWAtoApp versus Median.
