From Lovable to the App Stores: Your Android and iOS Launch Plan
November 6, 2026 · 5 min read
A Lovable product becomes an app-store release through several separate steps: prepare the mobile project, generate signed builds, test them and submit the listings. Treat Android and iOS as two release tracks sharing the same product, not as one upload that automatically publishes everywhere.
Set up accounts before your launch deadline
You need access to Google Play Console for Android distribution and the appropriate Apple Developer membership and App Store Connect access for iOS. Verification can take time. Choose the correct individual or organization account and use business information you can document.
Developer account charges are separate from PWAtoApp's build package. Check the providers' current terms and regional requirements rather than budgeting from an old tutorial. Start with the official Google Play Console and Apple Developer Program pages.
Prepare one product, two signed outputs
| Store | Release build | Before submission |
|---|---|---|
| Google Play | Signed AAB | Play Console app, signing setup and testing |
| Apple App Store | Signed iOS build / IPA | Matching Apple identifiers, certificate and provisioning profile |
Prepare compatible platform source around your Lovable product. In PWAtoApp, choose Android with AAB for your Play release, or iOS for an IPA. Submit each build separately and wait for the active build to finish before starting the next. Use APK when you need a directly installable Android test file, not as a substitute for the Play bundle.
Release signing is included in the €49.99 one-time package for unlimited Android and iOS builds. You still supply the Apple signing files, and iOS compilation depends on an available Mac worker. Signing does not create developer accounts or submit your store listing for you.
Build the store listing around real use
- A clear app name, accurate description and appropriate category.
- Screenshots of the actual installed app on the required device sizes.
- App icons and any additional artwork requested by the store.
- Working support and privacy-policy links.
- Accurate age rating, data collection and permission disclosures.
- Reviewer instructions and a safe review account if access requires sign-in.
Describe what the product does today, not features you hope to add. Privacy answers must reflect your backend, analytics and embedded services as well as the visible interface. If reviewers cannot access the main function, a technically correct build can still stall at review.
Release to testers first
Upload the Android AAB to an appropriate Play testing track. Check the testing and production-access requirements that apply to your account; those can vary. For iOS, upload through Apple's supported tools, complete processing requirements and use TestFlight before requesting App Store review.
Have testers complete real tasks: sign in, save information, upload files and recover from poor connectivity. Include devices you do not personally own. Fix crashes, blank screens and broken authentication before expanding distribution.
Plan for review and future updates
Neither store guarantees approval because a web product has been packaged successfully. Review minimum functionality, payment rules, account deletion and privacy requirements. Apple guideline 4.2 is particularly relevant to apps that add little beyond a repackaged website.
Plan your launch around the full journey, not just the moment the build finishes. A stable product, accurate listing and tested release give your Lovable app a stronger foundation on both stores.
